Footwear-catching escalator

An escalator at the top floor of a department store in the capital poses a real danger to shoppers. It was learnt that a customer was recently left distressed after his sandal got caught in between the escalator's steps, which ultimately dragged him into the moving escalator. Glad that it was not his foot that had got caught, the shopper did however add that he was left uncertain of what to do next. According to several staff members, there have been several instances where children encountered the same experience. No complains have, however, been lodged.
